Two Places To Visit In Nevada

Of all of the states that you should visit this year, Nevada should be at the top of your list. It is a state that is located adjacent to Arizona and California. Although it is known for being a state that has some of the best casinos in the world, there are a couple of things that you can do which are not related to that. You may want to stay in Las Vegas, however, simply because it is a magical place to be. There is nothing more beautiful than walking down the strip during the night, especially on weekends, where you can see the crowds moving down the streets.

Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours

One of the benefits to living in this state, especially in the southern portion, is your access to the Grand Canyon. It’s only about a 4-hour drive if you go by car, but if you decide to go with one of the many tours that are offered to people in this area, you can get there in about 30 minutes. They can take you all around the southern and northern rims, and you can participate in rafting in the canyon itself. What is unique is that you can do all of this in the period of the day, sometimes half a day, and get back to your home or hotel.

Visiting Hoover Dam

One of the most incredible dams that have ever been created is the Hoover Dam. It’s only an hour or so from Las Vegas. You can dry then, park your car in the multilevel parking structure, and then walk to the dam itself. There is parking on the other side of the dam if that is full, and once you are settled in, you can take the tour. They will show you everything that you need to know about this amazing structure that is incredible to behold.

There are of course other things that you can do which are more traditional when you go to this state. Most people do like to visit Las Vegas. In fact, people from all over the world will fly in just to see this amazing city that seems like and amusement park. However, you may want to travel over to Henderson, Reno, or any of the other cities. It’s just a place that has so much more to offer than casinos, including the national parks that are available in Nevada.
